  • SHERN welcomed new member, the Southwest Seattle Historical Society/Log House Museum
  • Guest Britta Keller Arendt, Museum Registrar & Program Coordinator, with the Jundt Art Museum at Gonzaga University attended to learn more about SHERN and to discuss forming a Spokane area response network
  • Members discussed the recent NEDCC Training offered to SHERN members
  • Museum of Flight staff reported back on a recent flood in their collections storage area

  • A summary of the SHERN membership survey was presented
  • The Frye reported on the status of the supply cache stored at their site
  • Several SHERN members will be presenting at the 2022 Western Museum Association (WMA) conference this fall

  • The Klondike Gold Rush Museum was introduced as a new SHERN member
  • A representative from the Seattle Office of Emergency Management was introduced
  • Discussion on the attempted theft of the second supply cache from the Frye Art Museum and alternatives for storage
  • A new Outreach/Website subcommittee has been formed

  • Discussion on potential new location for second supply cache at the Burke Museum
  • Discussion on the interest in SHERN membership outside the Seattle metro area and how to best support this moving forward
  • Members in attendance participated in a virtual tabletop activity based around the newly released WA-DNR tsunami maps
