SHERN conducted a virtual video conference call using the Zoom platform on February 3rd, 2023

• The Supply Subcommittee reported out on the membership survey results
• Guests from ShakeAlert reported on their work around earthquake preparedness on the west coast
• Guests from newly forming networks on the Kitsap/Olympic Penisula, Snohomish County and Spokane County all reported out on the progress

SHERN conducted a virtual video conference call using the Zoom platform on April 7th, 2023

• New members from the Wing Luke Museum and guests from the Spokane branch of the Providence Archives and Everett Public Library were introduced

• The supply subcommittee shared their proposed purchase list and that they were looking into grant opportunities for supply and container purchases. New alternate locations for the second supply cache were also discussed

• Chair Siri Linz announced she was stepping down as she had accepted a new position and this would be her last meeting. There will be a special meeting held at the next meeting for a third board member.

• The idea of a state wide network meetup was discussed for later in the year. Much interest, by many logistical questions.

• The Spokane Network is reaching out to more interested organizations regarding membership

• Additional announcements from the group: Cory Gooch for the Frye is retiring. Loretta Greene from Providence Archives is retiring.

SHERN conducted an in person meeting at the National Nordic Museum with a virtual option via Zoom on June 3rd, 2023

• A nominating committee will need to be formed at the August meeting to select the next slate of board candidates for 2024-2025
• There were no volunteers or nominations from the floor to fill the vacant chair position. SHERN cannot move forward with grant applications or other legal obligations without the chair position being filled. A follow up ask will be sent via email
• Meeting adjourned for a tour of the Nordic

• A nominating committee for the next slate of board canidates was identified
• Staffing changes at member organizations were discussed.
• A new representative from the Frye was welcomed
• Kaia is leaving her position at the Nordic and will be stepping down as SHERN treasurer in October. Camille volunteered to step in as a second interim board person.

• Nominating committee is still working on identifying canidates
• Updates from other regional networks: Spokane Heritage Emergency and Preparedness and Response Network hosted an emergency supply kit workshop in September
• The Pierce County group is planning their first meeting
• The Snohomish group is still gathering interest from potential members
• The Kitsap group has tabled work until 2024

• All present voted in favor, quorum reached, new board elected
• Update on change of location of the supply cache container at MoF
• Welcome back to Siri, who filled Kaia’s old position at the Nordic Museum
