Going the Distance in Response to Disaster – a presentation by Marshall Oliver, Belfor Canada.
Science Kilner, FEMA Region X, Deputy Regional Environmental Officer talked about FEMA’s National Disaster Recovery Framework (NDRF). We also discussed the possibility of Allied Arts Foundation serving as our fiscal agent and appointed a committee to flush out the content of the salvage workshops.

Greg Griffith, Deputy SHPO of the Washington State Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation (DAHP) talked about SHPO and their role with FEMA in disaster situations. Kris presented some handouts on Bylaws and incorporation. We discussed Washington State Purchasing Cooperative Document Recovery Services & Facility Mitigation. . The Washington agreement was piggy-backed onto an agreement with the State of Georgia. Non-profits who receive government funding are also eligible for membership in the purchasing cooperative. We had an update on the proposed salvage workshops.

Upcoming meeting topics: Return meeting with Seattle Emergency Management in relation to new disaster recovery framework; County historic preservation officer (Julie Koller). Laura will call Julie to feel out the relationship with King County emergency management. The supply cache will have to be finalized.
